University of Montana Graduation
Celebrate the new graduate with family and stay at our welcoming vacation homes on Rock Creek.
Rock Creek, Montana is located 21 miles east of Missoula and UM, just off I-90. The cabins are nestled near the river 8 miles from the highway near the Sawmill Creek Fishing Access.
Spend quality time together is a home-like setting instead of a hotel room.

The Cabins
The cabins are well equipped for a family vacation. Our Golden Stone cabin has four bedrooms and two bathrooms while our Sawmill Cabin has two bedrooms.
In the kitchen, you’ll find dishes, pots, and pans. Each cabin has an outdoor BBQ grill. There are several small appliances such as toaster, coffee maker, blender, coffee grinder, and microwave. Large appliances include modern french-door refrigerator, gas stove, and dishwasher.
Wildlife and Hiking
Rock Creek has abundant wildlife. See bighorn sheep, whitetail and mule deer, mountain grouse, black bear, moose and more – often right from the porch. The abundant grass in the valley near the cabins and the surrounding area attract the grazers.
The cabins are surrounded by the Lolo National Forest. Hiking trails such as Grizzly Creek, Ranch Creek, Welcome Creek, and Trail 10 are close by and are wonderful day hikes.
Fishing the Creek
May is often a time of high water. Warm spring days triggers the melt of the snowpack that has covered the mountains for months.
Occasionally, the river is clear enough to fish the edges. Fish with weighted nymphs where the current is slow to moderate and has a foot or more of visibility.
If the creek is too high, dirty, or too swift to fish, try the nearby Beavertail Pond. Fish from shore or by boat using only manual or electric power.
